Share It to Win It!

Tiffany and I are always looking for new ways to introduce Create Kids Couture to other people. Since we release so many patterns we thought we should start putting these opportunities to use! We have a great idea about sharing our new patterns to win a pattern of your choice. If it works out well we could be persuaded to do this with EVERY new pattern!

Since we just released a new pattern, now is as good a time as any to try it out. Here's the deets: On our page is a link to our newest pattern with a short description (make sure it's the one that is pinned to the top of the page. No other one will be counted). Copy the description, share the link, and paste the description as YOUR description (make sure you tag us!). Be sure to comment that you shared it. Due to Facebook settings, if your profile is set to private you would not show up as sharing it so you MUST comment to be entered. After 24 hours we will pick one winner who shared to receive a FREE pattern of their choice. So go on, get outta here, and get to sharing!

Happy Sharing!

I'm "Pin" crazy!

Hi everyone!! It's Tiffany here and this is my "first" blog ! YAY!!  Shannon does all our blogs  (she's just so good at it!) but I had an amazing idea weeks ago that we thought would be so fun for all of us and I finally have a free moment to post about it and set it up!
I LOVE Pinterest ! I find myself on there for hours, looking at colors, fabrics, photos, anything that just calls my attention and inspires me to create! One day just for fun I typed in "Create kids couture" and WOW was it exciting to see all the pins our lovely fans have posted of all our goodies!! I was so thrilled and thought how fun it would be to have a contest using Pinterest !!

What you do is find your favorite CKC pattern and pin it! You can do this from our website Createkidscouture, our Etsy page, CKC Etsy, or even Here from our blog! Whomever can get the most "repins" will win 3 Free patterns!!! (How great is that!!)

You will have until Friday night June 15th to collect pins! You can also pin more then 1 if you like as well! Post the link to your pin here in a comment so we can see it! Now we can't end the contest at a certain time, because there's no way we can look at all the pins at say 9pm to verify a winner, but we will be keeping a close eye and say 2 of you are neck and neck why not just have 2 winners :)

So now is the time, we have so many new patterns just released you could use!

Also here are some new releases you've been waiting for!!! My favorite is....
 Tiffanys Sweetheart Patchwork Twirl Dress

Or Our new rihannas flower pants and capris

Thanks everyone! Happy "Pinning"

Best. Day. Ever.

This is the best day ever. Think Tangled swinging around a tree by her hair best day ever! lol.

Tiffany and I just got the official letter that we've been accepted to the fall Quilt Market.
I have butterflies just thinking about all the amazing people we're gonna get to (finally) meet. Not to mention all the fun we're gonna have. But with this "fun" will come LOTS of hard work.

I cannot even believe we made it! Woot!
See ya in October Houston ;)

NEW Boutique Directory!

Tiffany and I are so excited about the newest feature we're adding to our website: the Boutique Directory.

What is a Boutique Directory exactly? Well, today's your lucky day because I'm gonna explain it all!

After months and months of people asking "How much for that dress/romper/pants/outfit" on our Facebook page, personal boutique pages, personal walls, Etsy messages, and emails we NEEDED someplace to send these requests. What better place than a directory of boutiques that sell patterns made from our clothes? We never wanted to pick any boutiques to send people to as we didn't want to come off as having favorites because we really don't. Every one of our customers' boutiques are unique and different from the others! The directory just makes sense. Its a nice easy place to send people who ask about purchasing outfits so that they can take a look at all the boutiques and choose the one that best fits their style.

So how do I get my boutique on the list?

Well to include ALL the boutiques that we sell to would be a lot of work and an exhausting list. We get new customers every week so the list would be extensive. Additionally, maybe not everyone wants to be on "the list". So it is on a first come, first serve basis. For now, we are only offering spots for 25 boutiques. We feel that anything more than that will not be beneficial for anyone. Most people only look at the first couple, the last couple, or a couple in the middle (that's what I always look at! lol). If we have 100+ boutiques it won't be fair to everyone.

Since this is a new feature we are offering an introductory rate of $10 for the first month or $25 for 3 months. We suspect that we will get a lot of traffic there because anytime anyone EVER asks about buying an outfit, we will just immediately send them there as it is easiest for us. For example, today alone, we've had at least 4 facebook requests for outfits and 2 Etsy convos.

If you would also like to advertise on our blog you can do both for $20 for the first month (normally $25) or $60 for 3 months.

If this is something that interests you, please email us at CreateKidsCouture@gmail.com and we will set you up! Again, this will be on a first come, first serve basis so the sooner you write us the higher on the list you'll be (if that matters to you).

Happy Sewing!

Chatty Cathys...

I don't know about you guys, but Facebook just hasn't been doing it for us lately. I keep wanting to write more and more in our posts. Maybe it's because I'm never sure who is gonna see it with all these changes Facebook has made, or maybe its just because I enjoy chatting with our fans friends so much! Actually, its probably both.

Tiffany and I have been trying to figure out a way to connect with all our friends--new and old!--more and Facebook has been making it a lot harder than it used to be. We've tried Flickr once upon a time, but no one really jumped on it. We tried blogging, but again, no one really reads it--or if they do, they sure don't respond....hint, hint. lol.

We finally went back to our original idea of a forum and really researched how to set it up. Surprisingly, it was a lot easier and less expensive than we had hoped for...I'm kind of disappointed we didn't figure out how to set it up sooner!

If you don't keep up with us on Facebook or Twitter, then you may not even realize that we started a forum. We're very excited about it. We feel that a real place to chat with like-minded sewists is lacking and we're hoping to fill that void. We don't care whose patterns you use or how experienced you are. We just want you to have a place that you can turn to when you have questions or to show off your newest creation that you're proud of!

So if this sounds like something that interests you, then please join us at CreateKidsCouture.com/forum We would love to have you and look forward to getting to know everyone more :) Tiffany and I are loving all the posts going on already. In less than 48 hours we already have over 200 members--which its FREE to join!--and lots of great conversations going on!

Happy Sewing Chatting!

Did Somebody Say 'Fabric'???

Okay, we are SO pleased to announce our newest monthly feature!!!
We got Brenda from Pink Castle Fabrics to fill us in on the  newest and cutest lines. How excited are you? If you haven't had the pleasure of shopping at Pink Castle Fabrics you are in for a treat. She has an amazing taste in fabrics and carries a wide array of colors and patterns; it's so hard to find people that offer a nice balance like she does. Best of all? She's a fellow Michigander! Oh yeah! Look for lots of great posts from her in the future and maybe even some fun surprises we have up our sleeves for everyone!

Hi everyone! My name is Brenda and I own Pink Castle Fabrics. I'm interrupting Shannon and Tiffany's regular post today to talk to you all about fabric!

Each month I'm going to stop by and let you know what's coming up in the next few weeks and point out some things you should look for. The fabric industry is stepping up it's game and putting out more and more great lines and it's easy to get lost in everything that is coming out. I will do my best to highlight things I think are going to be big winners so you don't miss out!
No words to waste! Let's get into it! I was lucky enough to get out to Kansas City last month for Quilt Market and boy did I order a lot of good stuff. We all better get our sewing machines oiled up and ready to go!
