Sizing Charts and Other Tips in the Read Me File

You might have noticed the "Read Me" file that is now available for download with every PDF pattern you purchase from CKC. Several people have asked what it's for. And our advice is... read the "Read Me" file and you'll find out!

Just kidding. It's actually a great question. And the answer is pretty simple. That's what we will talk about today!

Superhero Wrist Cuffs

It's costume season for most of us and today we have the queen of over-the-top costumes (Dawn from Rainbows Lolipops N Gumdrops, of course) here to show us how to make super-hero wrist cuffs!

These can be made for boys and girls of all ages for a variety of costume uses. And yes, they're super easy and fast to make! Our tutorial today includes both shapes you see above -- the straight cuff and the pointed cuff, with a printable pattern piece. Because Dawn is so crazy busy filling costume orders right now, I'm going to be doing the tutorial pics. I made mine for my little macho superhero-loving boy. Let's get started!

Mini Top Hat

Hey everyone! It's Nikki here, from the Women/Tween department at CKC. I have decided with Halloween just around the corner it is a great time to do a tutorial for a mini top hat.

This tutorial includes 2 versions; the regular mini top hat shown here:

Fox and Raccoon Dresses

Woodland animal prints are super trendy right now, which I personally love. And the only thing cuter than a woodland fabric is an entire woodland dress!  How adorable are these?!

Renee Pullings from Whimsical Dragonfly made these clever dresses using our Maggie's Color Clock Dress pattern with a few minor adaptations, and today she is sharing her tips and tutorial with us! By the end of this post you'll be all ready to make a super cute fox or raccoon (or tiger etc.) dress for your own little girl!  Let's get started!

Fussy Cutting and a Video about Collars and Sleeves

I'm pretty excited about today's post. We have two topics we're going to cover and they're both pretty awesome!  Normally I wouldn't combine topics like this, but I used the same shirt for both tutorials so it just makes sense to keep all the cuteness together!

First we will talk about "fussy cutting" and then I have made a video showing how to pin on the collar and sleeves for Porter's shirt.  Both tutorials have been requested a bunch so let's get started!

Bandana Bib

Today we have a super cute tutorial for your little tots, made with love by Susan at CKC! I'm sure by now you have seen the trendy bandana bibs you can find in boutiques.  Well, now you can make your very own!

With our tutorial, you can make either the gathered style of bib that looks like a traditional tied bandana (above on the left), or you can make a simple flat bandana (right).  Both styles attach using velcro or snaps, and they are perfect for catching those baby dribbles!

Knit Scrapbuster Dance Skirt

We love coming up with fun new ways to use up our scraps. And it's even more exciting when our kids go ga-ga over them! Tosha from our active wear department has a knit scrapbuster for us today, and it's not hard to see that her little one LOVES it!  We even have a cute video of her strutting her stuff. Let's take a look at the quick and easy tutorial!

Lifestyle: A Happier You and More Time to Sew

My kids just started school again and my life was begging to get back into a routine!  I imagine that many of us are in the same boat (even those who don't have school-age kids) so we thought this would be a fun time to talk about schedules... routines... life...  The start of a new season brings so many new possibilities!  And I'm super excited about today's topic.
